“Pasitos Jaguari” is the 3rd single of Okvsho’s long-awaited upcoming album “A place between us". It is a unique blend of Brazilian Baile Funk, Jazz, and Akira’s anyway unique vocals.
“Pasitos Jaguari has its origins in Johannesburg, where we experimented
with fusing the Baile Funk rhythm with Jazz elements. We played a very different sounding version of the track at the Bushfire Festival in Eswatini with saxophonist Sisonke Xonti and it was an instant crowd favorite. Back in Zurich we tried to recreate what happened at that gig but we failed grandiosely... We almost gave up on the idea, when it came to our minds that Akira might be the right person to transform it into a vocal track. Few days later he stepped into our studio and from then on the process went really effortlessly and Pasitos Jaguari was born.”

Great album! A crossover jazz-r'nb-african trip from continent to continent. London does it again. Nyubian Twist with more jazz overtones. John Woodward
